Change
CNY is coming soonz, and its like busy busy busy with all the preparations and stuffs. However, this year it feels totally different. Not to say that there are a few changes that had happened over the last few months, but it feels like this coming year smth is gonna happen that I fear. The feeling of dread is filling up the atmosphere around me and I'm like not feeling the best of moods nowadays. When im near pple I can act normally as I do and stuffs but the feeling is still there. Its like I cant do anything and I'm just waiting for it to happen.
Anyway, I realised tat coming into army, although I'm still horrified by the fact that I have to spend 2 years of my life in national service, its a fact and I cant change it so Ive learnt to accept it. However, I have learnt a lot of things from being in army and I dun mean the menial things like cleaning toilets and stuff. I mean I do help around the house and things liddat but Ive learnt more personal things like relations and dealing with pple. Also, I've managed to control my temper to a bear minimum although pple hu knew me before think tat my temper has been super good already. I mean besides the fact that I hate having to deal with pple in the mornings, I've managed to not flare up at other pple. And TATS a huge improvement on my part. Give and take. In addition, I met loads of nice pple in army whom I can probably thank for the improvement in my temper. Just to name a few ; Kenneth, Swen, Arjun, Josh, Jin, Matt, Ben Tan, Steven, GJ and Hwee... I mean taking into consideration my temper in the past I would have flared up too many times to count at them. Esp since in army we always see each other and tat usually spells trouble for my temper. I also have to thank them for their constant help, encouragement and support for without it I probably would not have made it thru until now. Anyway, nowadays, I've been reading quite a lot and I finishing the Twilight series. Which I did not find a super nice read. I mean I perfer fantasy rather than romance, and normally I would not have read it if not for the busybody part of me that was poking at me. Currently, I left the last book - Breaking Dawn - to completing the series and I have to admit tat the author has put in a lot of effort into it which is smth I could not do. Not to mention the lack of english capabilities and the fact that I cant describe things for nuts, expecially feelings, which I think I myself lack. Haha... I'm cold-blooded as my bro always says. Anyway, I think its a nice break from reading fantasy-genre books and although Twilight series has a bit of fantasy in it I still fancy my type of books. You know, the magic and stuff, probably in that world myself. Haha... last book to go. Since I have a weird habit of reading things all the way to the end I cant stop at Twilight although the genre is not to my taste. I'll post my opinion on the book when I actually finish the last book. Anyway, I have to comment that I really like the side book to the series. I mean I only read the 1st chapter and I actually fell in love with Edward ( dun mistake, I'm not gay, I just find that the way he thinks is so me-like tat its actually quite cute ). Right.. and to end off I have to say that the weather is getting cold and that to you pple readin this post, which I realised just a moment ago that its freaking long and that its getting longer, pple pls do not fall sick due to the cold weather and all the CNY goodies. And I have to comment tat the cold weather is not helping my mood. |

Story So Far Chapter 1 Part 1
This is a fictional story. Any resemblances to anyone dead or alive is purely coincindental. There is also a song attached to the end of each part to listen to while you read. Please forgive me for any mistakes which I have made and I would appreciate it if you pointed them out to me. Comments are always welcome and I thank you in advance for them.
And in the darkest of all nights, he was dragged. Willingly or not nobody could ever know but as far as he was concerned, he was like a bird trapped in a cage and the only exit, lies within the solace of a reaper's blade. Muscles tensed and body hardened to the fact that he may never see another sunrise ever again. For the moment that one enters the cage, he is never allowed exit. Heaving heavily, he was dragged pass countless of cells, some of which used to contain signs of the living now lay barren, devoid of all activity. How each cell was differentiated from the next was not knowledge known to him, nor was he in any state to indulge in the luxury of thought. Scars of the past left on his muscled back, evidence of what has just passed. Eyes devoid of emotions, legs too weak to carry him, arms still clenched as if the moment has not passed. Yet, he knew, he knew long before that this was his fate. Choice was not given to him. It was taken. Staring down, he noticed that he was no longer in motion. Though his legs never moved an inch he was constantly moving, at least, he was up until now. A sense of familiarity hit him. The cracks on the wall was etched deep into his memory, seeing it time and time again, he memorised every line every curve that was on the small piece of wall that he had, or at least believe he had. He crawled, back to a corner, eyeing every detail. Hoping he had missed something, something of utmost importance. The stool was where he left it - broken and on its side. The bucket which contained excrement was where he left it - full and with flies all over it. The smell of the cell was familiar; almost welcoming as though the prison itself was relieved to see me. Cough Cough "Carry on! What happened to him? Did he die in the prison?" Alan questioned eagerly. "Yeah! Did he tell the truth of the bad wizard after he was tortured?" Jane continued to bombard the old storyteller. "The story will continue tomorrow my dears. You three best be on your ways. Tonatiuh is almost at the end of his journey. Your parents must be worried sick." was all the answer the old storyteller gave. True enough, the old storyteller was right. The shadows were lengthened and the town barely visible even from the hilltop. Behind the tree where we sat, the light was losing the battle, dwindling with each moment threatening to give up and lose the entire town to Metztli whom is said to punish bad children whom stay out in the dark of day. Probably an old wives tale to make children go back before the dark covers the skies. I'm getting hungry, I better go back I hope mom's cooked my favourite beef stew "I think I'm going back home. I'm getting hungry" extorted Alan. "Me too! I hope we have beef stew today!" Jane stood to leave excitedly. "And what about you, young boy?" the storyteller asked, staring down at me with eyes that gleaned a silver tint. Blood "Don't you have a home to return to?" he continued. Eyes unblinking as if with each second his eyes bore deeper into my soul searching for an answer deep within. Nobody would miss me at home. And it's the first house from the hill. I have plenty of time before supper comes. "Still, it's not very nice if you would miss the start of it. I believe its turkey today." the old storyteller began again. Admitting defeat, I stood up and began following the trail downhill. Having walked it umpteen times I had no problems even in the dark. Yet, the old man seems very intent on me leaving early, I began to wonder why. Turning my head, I heard a gust of wind pick up and there it was, empty like it was in the morning before he came. Astonished at the fact that he was gone even before I could 'say' my farewells, I hardly noticed that something was wrong until I was almost at the bottom of the hill. There was no other way down the hill except the path I took. The smell of roasted turkey wafted through the air carried by the cool evening breeze. Without any doubt that the smell came from my place of residence. Home. I thought to myself was never a word I used to describe or call that place. Home was a place where you felt you belong to, a place where you felt at ease, away from the harsh life outside. However, that place was never anything close to warm or inviting. It was cold. A void if you may call it, I would abandon the place at the first moment if given the chance to. Entering, I saw the said item on the table. Along with it a small plate of salad and some side to go with the turkey. Food was never a problem for me. Villagers provided me with food, out of pity or fear I never know, at least that's what I told myself. But I knew. More than anything I knew. They were afraid. I was an anomaly, an oddity that they avoided at all costs. In this village where parents brought up their children and taught them everything they knew, I without anyone to care for was a sore thumb to them. In exchange for food I was never to bother them or even speak with anyone, or at least they believe I could speak if I wanted to. It has been long. Too long for me to remember when the last time I spoke was. Memories of speech was as clear as my vision, however, I've seem to have lost that ability since long ago. It was not a necessity that I require, it was more of a convenience that I spoke words. Or at least it used to be a convenience that I spoke words. I did not need words to get my 'words' across. I can delve into minds and they would understand me as if I spoke. It is, however, seemingly different as I remember hearing something once from a wise man that words were scarier than thoughts themselves. Thoughts are akin to a naked body. With nothing to cover itself, no protect of any kind. Words are akin to a warrior, armoured all the way down to his feet. Wielding a double-edged sword, he can do harm to people or himself. The mind as it is, is more frail than an old woman. To destroy it or manipulate it was second nature to me. I could do it without a single flinch or blink. Where was the fun in that? No... I would need some of the villagers. Already they were frightened of me and often wondered why they bothered to feed me, yet, they could not stop nor disobey the command. Why don't we let him starve? Then our problems would be solved. Thoughts are a funny thing, people think it is harmless but they do not know that with each thought brings an entirely breed of monsters alive. More scary than those that they could ever imagine. Those outside the village wall would seem like puppies as compared to those they were created from their minds. Finished the last morsel of food from the plate, I washed and dried it before leaving it out for the villager to take back his plate. Settling down, I began to allow my mind to float, carrying me away to scour the land. Most villagers were asleep by this time. Thoughts were less and this relaxed me, often, thoughts were ugly and that disgusted me on many levels. Rest was required if I was to maintain the connection I had with the villagers so I could remain in the village. I had to remain here. She would come back for me. She promised. Vocab Lesson 101
Okiez... since I was bored and plain erms whats that word? bored I guess... so there I was doin nothing when I saw a lot of hoo ha about Twilight. Watched the movie and read the book... Seemingly a normal teenage love story with just a bit of a twist. That the guy's a vampire. Ok. So I was more bored than that so I began to write out words that seems to me like a good wordplay. And as I know not many pple are fluent in the use of the English language or shld I say we are so accustomed to the use of Singlish in our everyday life that English seems like a second language to us. Anyway, I found a few words that I would like to record in my memory but as the forgetful person I am, I most probably wld have forgot abt it the moment I read past that line. So I wrote it down and even found the meaning for it so we can all learn together... OMG tat speech sounds so much like a teacher. Oh... and as a side note I was so bored doin duty that my mind came up with a story. Nothing fancy just a few characters put together in a futile attempt to fill my mind with something other than work. I'll piece it tgt and post it sometime soon. Just dun expect too much. I havent written anything else other than in my blog since God knows when, so, grammar and punctuation mistakes are bound to happen. Especially since those were never my forte even before I was enlisted into the army.

Hair Cut
I cut my hair!!! Ok it may not seem as a big deal to most of you out there reading this but it is a great deal for me... I cant understand the need for a hair cut unless my hair actually gets in my way. I mean hey its a waste of time and effort to get something done when the moment the deed is done it immediately starts to undo itself. Slowly but surely it happens, unless of course you are balding but I shall not visit tat topic today... Nails I can understand. I mean what fun is there in having super long nails when it gets in the way of everything you do. Hair is just sitting there on the top of you head. Not as if it would bite or something right?
Maybe its just my rantings but I'm entitled to my own opinion on things aren't I? And dont think that I feel that having a hairstyle is a bad idea. I think its cool if u are like gg to put your hair to good use and beautify urself or smth with it, I have no problems with that. However, hair for me is just sitting there so I cant understand the need for me to get a haircut unless it really screams to me that I need one. Or the fact that I'm bothered by it constantly by others. |

KL trip part 2
EDITED POST
Okiez... Im guessin there will be a part 3, 4, 5 and probably a 6 cause I cant keep up fast enuf with the pictures given the procrastination that matches my laziness. Oh ya... Impt pics... haha... our rooms.. and the decor of the hotel. Anyway...continue-ing from where we left off we went to a place called Lot 10... I think mostly for the kick of having a shoppin centre named as such. Too bad it wasnt smth interesting. Although the Jackie Chan's bar did earn a 2nd look. Other than that there wasnt anything special inside... Nxt stop, Pavillion, the supposed Paragon of KL. They even had a huge Christmas Tree in front of the place. Ok... I cant remember the order of things anymore so I'm just gonna give a wack in the dark. Anyway... in there got a Restaurant named Rain Nudle House ( What a great way to name your noodle... Nudle... simple short and sounds the same ) Service was great too... Same goes for the food which was surprising delectable. Not to mention some cam-whorring all around... from the pay phones to the toilets... God... that was embarrassing... Deserts was served at Baskin Robbins.. as per Josh's request he said S'pore used to have. I have bad memory so pls dun blame me for not knowin suchs things... the oni thing I remember frm way back is like A&W. And Josh being the "Da Ge" of the gang went to buy although I was the oldest there. Or was it cause I asked him and Toon to choose the thing... Hmmm... bad memory :p Either way... Desert was served! Breakfast!! Haha... my fave meal of the day when overseas... Not so much when I'm in S'pore though... prolly cause I dun like wakin up in the mornin to eat it. I hate mornings...But excuses are when I'm overseas... So as to not shock pple as to the amt of food I actually ate in the morning over there I did not take pics of the food there... If u are really interested u can ask me... I may decide to tell u... Wow... this post is getting longer and longer... Anyway... another highlight of the trip there is Sunway Lagoon... Fun but I for one think that the time there was a bit too short for enjoyment. Trip there wasnt tat long... but in a mini bus I couldnt help but feel a bit claustrophobic. I look fat in the pics.. OMG!!! How will I face the world?!?!?!?! Too many pictures.... moving on... We proceeded to go to Chinatown which we thought we tould at least get to buy smth cheaper and at a bargain since all we have been gg to are shopping malls. BAD IDEA! Nevertheless, we did get to expercience a lot of things such as taking the monorail. Trip Back to S'pore was a bit uneventful. So I shall not say anything... haha... After 2 mornings of pestering Josh to wake up at my convenience I shall not disturb his meeting with the Z monster no more... For the pictures please visit this link here to see the pictures. |
